Our story starts with baseball.

Three summers ago, I (a casual sports observer at best) stumbled upon a viral video clip from a Texas Rangers-Tampa Bay Rays game. The series gained attention because it was the first time brothers Nathaniel and Josh Lowe faced each other in the major leagues. A few funny brotherly moments from the series led to several viral videos, which somehow led to me developing a decent-sized crush on the Rangers' first baseman. I bought an MLB subscription and spent the rest of my summer break watching the Rangers play every night.

Not long after my rapid Rangers obsession began, Larry Bailey messaged me on Hinge to let me know that he could tell me everything I needed to know about baseball. Many, many messages filled with baseball questions were exchanged before I finally worked up the courage to meet Larry in person.

That November, the Texas Rangers went on to win the World Series, and I went on to meet my future husband. This November, we'll make it all official.
